The DJI Mavic 2 is a revolutionary machine. Designed to take users along as they experience the best in photo and video clarity, the DJI Mavic 2 is one of the most powerful imaging drones on the market. If you’re in the market for a new drone, here are a few reasons to consider the Mavic 2.

World-Class Imaging

The Mavic 2 Pro takes photo and video clarity seriously. To that end, it comes equipped with a powerful Hasselblad camera. Unlike many other imaging drones on the market, this Mavic 2 drone shoots high-quality stills in 20 MP resolution. Users love this drone’s massive 1-inch CMOS sensor, and the way its features have resulted in it standing out as a popular consumer-level drone. Here are a few of those features, called out more explicitly:

  • The Mavic 2 Zoom lets you switch instantly or zoom dramatically to and from a 2x focal length using a new, built-in effects program.
  • It features the most extended range yet for a Mavic quadcopter and can fly for up to 5 miles.
  • The drone is lightweight (it weighs less than two pounds), portable, and features a folding controller and drone body.
  • The extended flight time allows you to get more done on a single charge.
  • It features a robust top speed (up to 44.7 MPH) and is faster than many other drones in its class.
  • The drone has a built-in obstacle avoidance function and top-of-the-line stability.
  • The drone is exceedingly agile and easy for even beginners to fly.

Of all these features, one thing users love the most is portability. The Mavic 2 is exceedingly easy to move around with and isn’t nearly as large or clunky as some of its class counterparts. While it’s a bit larger than the Mavic Platinum or Mavic Pro, the body of this drone folds down into a backpack-size package that weighs less than two pounds. For raven mower portability, the controller folds down, and the joysticks can be removed.

What Stayed the Same From Previous Models?

The Mavic 2 features several holdovers from earlier models, including several pilot and photographer aids. Specifically, these include Tripod, Waypoint 2.0, Helix, Drone and Boomerang, and Point of Interest.

Like earlier Mavics, this one is fast, with a top speed approaching 45 mph. Additionally, it syncs wirelessly with all available DJI Goggles, just like earlier models. Finally, the Mavic 2 drones are capable of recording hyperlapse, which many pilots find useful. Hyperlapse is a timelapse in which both the drone and its camera are moving. Helpful pilot modes and HDR bolster the hyperlapse feature.

The Mavic 2: The Drone for You

If you’ve been searching for a powerful, consumer-level drone, the Mavic 2 is a great option. Equipped with best-in-class imaging solutions, the Mavic 2 will make your next photo or video mission crisper, clearer, and more beautiful than ever before. Pair those things with this drone’s easy operability, small size, fast speeds, and user-friendliness, and you have an excellent option that will fulfill your purposes for years to come.
