The new Astro (NDAA/Blue), Astro Prime & Astro Prime (NDAA/Blue) boast impressive features that cater to the high demands of commercial drone operations. The Astro model offers a maximum flight time of 28 minutes (with payload). Equipped with a 61 MP Sony LR1 camera, it ensures exceptional image quality, capturing every detail with precision. Astro technology is designed to maximize performance and reliability. The SuperLight batteries feature OLED screens and offer comprehensive protections and diagnostics, supporting up to 500 battery cycles for extended operational life.

High-Resolution Imaging with the Sony LR1 Payload
Freefly’s latest mini gimbal with the 61-MP Sony LR1 payload has built-in mount points and USB hub to enable endless sensor attachments, allowing operators to configure their payload for specific missions.
The LR1 Payload is well suited for high-resolution mapping and imaging missions with the Freefly Astro. It natively mounts to Astro with the Freefly Smart Dovetail system. This connection provides power and data communication from the camera to the ground station controller (and LTE network) for camera controls (camera settings and shutter), gimbal control (tilt), and image preview.
The new DIU Blue Framework enables customers to mix-and-match interoperable, NDAA compliant UAS components and software. The framework provides advanced capabilities to sUAS developers and reduces risk for customers.
